Sangeeta's Point: Color your lips

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-You must have wondered why some lip colors look good on you and some don’t? It has all to do with your skin tone, warm or cool. Lighter skin tones are for cool colors, mostly Lilac, plums, reds with blue undertone, or colors with name of berries. Darker skin tones should always wear warm colors. These are earthy names, sandalwood, amber and rust. A lot of us argue if we should wear just one color for every outfit or have a palette of lip colors.

Sangeeta's Point: Body language

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-
‘Whenever two people meet there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other person sees him, and each man as he really is’ William James.
Self esteem is a part of our image it’s also about how we look and feel about ourselves. You are motivated and confident if you have the ‘feel good about oneself’ attitude. To identify and build the positive factors in ourselves, we have to understand our strengths. The way you look and carry your self is a part of that confidence.

Good hygiene

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto- We sure wake up and freshen ourselves every day, that’s the norm, that’s what we have learnt and that’s what we will teach, but are we ignoring the other norms of personal hygiene? Most of us relate hygiene to a good shower, clean teeth well kept hair and nails etc.

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Vacations should be fun; you will definitely want to leave your stress behind. The very thought of being relaxed, automatically brings a smile on our face, and with that brings the glow. Glowing complexion will be devoid of unwanted acne, spots or blemishes. Of course the less make up we apply the better our skin will breathe and keeps it healthy, it also becomes less to carry.

Special Hair Care for Travel by Beauty Consultant Sangeeta

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-During winter we want to escape to warmer places, and in summer we want to take flight to cooler places, we can never be satisfied with whatever we have, can we? Be it an impromptu weekend retreat or a planned month long holiday, you need not forget your hair care rituals.
If you are on a weekend trip, then wash and style before you go, use good hair sprays to hold till you are back. Color and chemically treated hair is more porous and tends to release natural moisture from the hair, and due to its porosity can also absorb a lot of moisture, if you are close to a beach, apply some leave in’ conditioner on your hair and wear a hat to protect from harsh sunlight. If you must participate in a lot of water activities, then wear a cap, and rinse hair with diluted shampoo to get rid of salt or chlorine for pools Avoid blow dryers. In humid conditions hair tends to get wavy and curly, take some products for curly hair that contains polymers, which boost curly hair and guard against frizz. The one thing you must not do on your vacation is try to straighten curly hair.
Travel light to enjoy your holiday, but carry your own shampoo and conditioner in smaller travel bottles, a low maintenance hair cut prior to your long vacation, will certainly benefit. Avoid frequent washing; give your hair a vacation too!  Conditioner cannot be avoided even if you had to shampoo every day. If the water in that city or town is hard, then use some bottled water to give your hair the final rinse,
You can dry your hair naturally, however you must keep it wrapped in a towel for at least fifteen minutes for the excess water to be absorbed, don’t brush when wet, instead use a wide teethed comb, be light and gentle with your strokes. Once your hair is dry then try some simple hair dos to keep the tips protected. Explore your talent, try to be innovative with your hair accessories and surprise yourself! Have funJ

Take special care of your hair during winter

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-
It is cold and windy, hair becomes dry and dull. Hair gets the most damaged besides the skin in these harsh weathers, as we are properly layered for the rest. You will be pleasantly surprised to see the difference small changes can make to your hair texture.
As I have previously mentioned, major part of the hair structure constitutes of water, either the dry heat indoors or the dry cold outside, moisture can be robbed in these dry conditions, changing the structure to dry and brittle. If you step out leaving your hair wet, hair tends to become frozen, and breakages lead to split ends. If the ends get too dry, then it’s better to have them trimmed to make them look healthy.

Stylish Hairstyles

It is a very tricky question, if you are attempting a new style! If the stylist has chosen a cut for you or decides what’s going to be good, then be aware that you will be styling it yourself the next time onwards. Do you have the time, tools and expertise to handle the new style? Moreover it is often difficult to do it without help. Having said this, it is not to discourage you from a new style, but encourage you to think about any new cut or style more practically.Styles can be glamorous or practical, at times we have no choice, the texture and density of hair, face cut and our lifestyle could be more influential. Whatever the reason we can make the most of anything, you may want to add a few streaks of high lights or lowlights to bring in more glamour to a simple style.

Do parents need to change??

We have been waiting for a solution for sometime now, are the parents getting too obsessed or are the children making it more difficult?
No matter what culture or upbringing! teen issues are universal now.
They will lack sympathy and empathy, which will hinder them from developing and managing personal and professional relationships;
Their brains are mentored to handle the new equipment rather than handle the strategies of life! Can we blame them?? Internet is their answer to every question or doubt; researchers found that teens that used the internet in an unreasonable or uncontrollable fashion were about two-and-a-half times more likely to develop depression.

Glowing Complexion - Beauty tip by Sangeeta

For a clean and clear complexion we could do anything, but lots of our experiments land in trouble. The secret of a star complexion is less of everything, be it makeup, facials, packs, or anything we quite often do. Oily, dry or normal skin have different phases, oily can become too oily, or dry skin could often be oily too.

Sangeeta on Hair Color, techniques’ n ideas

We can completely change our hair color, but it’s unreasonable to do that with our skin color, so we must be realistic with what color or highlights we choose for our hair. We must complement our face with the right color.

Shape your eyebrows, look beautiful, some tips

With the right shape and make up, you can dramatically alter your appearance, we are all blessed with good eyebrows, we just need to give it the right shape.

You will need to determine the shape of your face, brow bone, texture and growth of hair, Eyebrow tweezing and eyebrow shaping, although not painless and not a whole lot of fun, can be the highlight of your expression. ......A great eyebrow shape defines your facial features, enhances your eyes, with or without makeup, and the perfect eyebrow shape for your face can be used to contour your entire facial shape.

Look Vibrant, Look Beautiful

‘It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances. The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible.’ Oscar Wilde.
It’s your appearance that speaks about you even before you speak; your moods reflect your body language, Each and every one of us has been given a unique talent, and that is our strength. We can enhance our strength by being confident in whatever we do. A part of that confidence comes from how we appear. Grooming should be a part of our normal routine. With the world at our fingers, we have answers to all concerns, so the question of ‘how’? is eliminated.

Now we have ‘what’ to be taken care of, simply look at yourself and decide, how can we improve the way we look? Clothes, face, hair, nail, skin, etc, are prevalent, Clothes should most certainly match the occasion, time of day or night, besides the season. The latest fashion magazines help you decide the color of the season, even if you had to browse while in the checkout.

Make up can be subtle for the day, a simple liner and mascara can do wonders to change your appearance, eye shadow must always be matte for the day, spare the glitter glossy ones for the evenings, lip liners can be worn to define the lips, but remember to use the color closest to your skin tone.

Almost always hair style has to match what clothes you wear, pay extra attention for daily wear, you can eventually decide on something that is easy to maintain thorough the day, without much accessories and products,

Nails can be self groomed too but if you have the time, get it done professionally, well kept hands and nails boots our personality, hand gestures enhances our nonverbal communication.

More than 50% of our communication is via body language, be it eye contact, facial expression or hand gestures, so why not make the most of it!!!!

Excellect details on Hair - "Hair and its importance" by beauty & lifestyle consultant Sangeeta.

It plays a major part in your appearance. Texture, quality, cut and style, have different roles and need to be co-ordinated for the overall result. Color is given an important role in the present generation, be it highlights, lowlights or just a regular hair color,

Stress does cause some hair loss, but it’s the health of an individual that impacts it more. Good diet is absolutely necessary to bring shine and glow to the hair although it is merely fibre made of dead hard protein infact 91 percent of it is made of keratinized proteins, exposure to extreme weathers, excessive coloring and using of hair products have a long term effect to hair texture, so to say external factors are more important.

Normally darker hair is heavier in texture compared to lighter hair, so products useful for lighter hair may not necessarily be helpful for darker. It is important for us to maintain the ph (potential of Hydrogen) balance of our scalp, it normally is more acidic than alkaline, if you notice your hair tends to get drier than its more acidic, you will require a neutralising shampoo to restore the moisture on the scalp, and conditioner to bring texture to the hair.

Anything left on the hair for too long robs it of its moisture when washed. A good haircut will generally depend on the texture of the hair, health of the hair, length and of course your face features, so if you think that the style which looks good on your favourite star or idol, may not necessarily look the best on you!

Good haircuts are meant to be less maintenance, so go with the natural texture of your hair; you will not struggle with too many ‘bad hair days’!
