Canadian Multiculturalism Day

www.insurancerate.com StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-

Hello. I'm Charles Sousa, Ontario's Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.

Canadians across the country join to recognize Multiculturalism Day.

Multiculturalism is one of the fundamental characteristics of our identity.

Diversity is one of our greatest strengths.

We are grateful for the contributions of those who've settled here and shaped our province.

On Multiculturalism Day, we commit to building a province based on equality, inclusion, and democracy. And we honour our rich cultural mosaic.

People all over the world see Ontario as a shining example of how people of can live and work together in peace, prosperity, and mutual respect.

As a former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson once said:
"Canada is at once a mirror of global diversity and a beacon that may guide other nations."

Today, and throughout the year, let us celebrate the richness that our multiculturalism provides.

Thank you.
