The Mississauga Arts Council presents the Limelight New Year’s Eve Block Party! Join Chris Strazz as he hosts the New Year’s Eve Open Mic from 7-9 p.m. on December 31, 2013 at the Mississauga C Café. Chris is a local singer-songwriter whose band formed in early 2013. The indie, alternative rock band is comprised of original members Christopher Strazz (vocals, guitar), Anthony Zhura (bass), Chris Isip (violin) and Thomas Lesnick (drums) with recent members Light Min (electric guitar) and Kristin Serrick (keyboard). Chris Strazz began as a solo project in 2009, which led to his EP "July," released in 2012. The band draws influences from musicians such as John Mayer, Jason Mraz, City & Colour, the Lumineers, Ra Ra Riot, Jack's Mannequin. They have been active in the Toronto rock scene performing at venues such as Sneaky Dee's, the Rivoli, Clinton's, the Dakota Tavern, Measure, Hard Luck and York University, and several coffee shops around the GTA such as Starbucks and Second Cup.
