Scotiabank Nuit Blanche is happening this weekend: Saturday, October 5 from 7 pm to the early hours of Sunday, October 6. Once again, we are excited to be a part of this fun night of contemporary art exploration.
Please join us for our installation Lexicon, where we invite audiences to develop a Toronto specific lexicon through poetry and see it all come to life as actors, musicians and spoken word artists perform original pieces taking ideas straight from the audiences themselves.
When: October 5-6; 7 pm - 7 am
Where: Metropolitan United Church, 56 Queen Street East
On September 26th, DD hosted the first of our Poet's Dinner Parties at Grano restaurant, and it was a success! The evening began with poet Hoa Nguyenreading from her collection As Long as Trees Last during the appetizer course.Sara Peters read from her much buzzed-about debut collection before the main entree. Over dessert, Peters spoke with Nguyen about the writing process and the life of a poet in a discussion moderated expertly by poet Meaghan Strimas. The event was then bookended by live music performed by Jarek Dabrowski. We are now gearing up for our second installment of the Poet's Dinner Party, held on Thursday, October 10. Schmooze with poets Ann Shin, Linda Besnerand Dani Couture in a relaxed setting for a night of poetry and music. Reserve your here tickets today! Media Partner |
