About the guests:
Dr./Prof. Pervez Parvazi:is a renowned Urdu scholar and author of numerous books of essays and criticisms. He has recently penned a multi-volume series of books on autobiographies/
He will share an essay from his latest volume on autobiographies and biographies.
Ms. Nasim Syed:
is a distinguished Urdu poet and short story writer living in Canada. She belongs to progressive writing tradition in Urdu literature. Her poetry and short stories encompass, human rights, rights of women, and the First Nations of Canada, and has received critical acclaim. She has also been the founder and president of Canadian Urdu Writers Forum.
Her published works include poetry collections “Aadhi Gawahi", Samandar Rasta Day Ga, and Shumali Amreeka kay Maqaami BashindoN ki Sha'iri. A collection of her short stories under the title, "Jiss Tan Laagay" is under print. Her short stories have also been published in various South Asian journals.
Nasim Syed will share the samples from her works, and Munir Saami will review of her literary endeavors.
