Kalanidhi 15th International Dance Festival

  • Celebrating 60 years since inception and 25 years of Kalanidhi in Canada, founder and Artistic Director Sudha Khandwani presents 4 days of innovative contemporary and exquisite classical Indian dancers from India, the United States and Canada: Preeti Patel/anjika manipurni dance troupe, India; Santosh Nair/sadhya dance, India; Aparna Sindhoor and Anil Natyaveda/navarasa, US; Priti Vasudevan/thresh, US; and from Canada: Menaka Thakkar/menaka thakkar dance, Hari Krishnan/indance, Roger Sinha/sinha danse, Nova Bhattacharya and Louis Laberge-Côté/nova dance, Janak Khendry/janak khendry dance; plus solos by: Nivedha Ramalingham, Reshmi Chetram and Shila Mehta.
    Symposium highlights include an Inter-Country Panel Discussion of New Directions in Indian Dance plus an account of the contribution of Sudha Khandwani through Kalanidhi in the last 25 years with video clips from the Archives since 1993.
