FSALA-13 will be a three-day event, scheduled May 2013 at the Munk Centre for Global Affairs inToronto
There will be more than 20 Canadian writers present. In addition to six to eight from South Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and the USA. Younger people will be a special focus of this event. A good number of participants, including readers, will be a new generation of writers. One seminar will specifically explore the concerns or preoccupations of this generation. FSALA, which will be held in central Toronto, is designed to bring members of the different communities together to be part of a serious, contemporary, and secular literary and cultural event. Books will be on sale and we also propose to have a panel discussion on Canadian South Asian cinema.
