Two of the volunteer strikers are not in good shape
StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Queen’s Park authorities have violated all human rights of the hunger strikers. They refused the strikers the use of the washrooms, even to the women ladies and the seniors. Not only that, the strikers were not permitted even to use the covered space to protect themselves against the rain. While the hunger strikers were shivering in the pelting rain, the police officers stood calmly with smiles on their faces. This shocking behaviour is a poor reflection of Dalton McGuinty’s government’s claim to uphold the Canadian values.

The protesters have decided to stop taking even water from tomorrow, that is 15th of June, 2011. NFCA calls upon the political leadership to wake up lest the anger and frustration, coupled with denial of human rights lead to some unseemly situation.
The demands of the strikers are very genuine. All Canadians are affected by high gas prices and the exorbitant auto insurance tariff. The government should at least discuss the issue and show some inclination to sort out the matter.
