Inroads of India is a reality based program, the concept of which, is of a immigrant who is living in Canada and yearns to go back home as he misses his life in India, He travels back to India goes through memory lane where his journey takes a spiritual turn he visits the rural areas of India where he has never travelled before in spite of living in India for 37 years.
He travels to places, which are unique, less known and out of the reach to the regular visitor. This program will help as a guide to the new tourist who is unaware of the internal roads of India. This virtual tour makes the program exciting and adventurous. The program has been designed keeping the young and old audiences in mind.
Our main goal of this program is to bring light on our forgotten and lost heritage through research, discover new archeological sites and locate untouched beautiful tourist spots. We also aim to share this knowledge so people can gain an insight into the different cultures, cuisines, religious practices, and spiritual and health center’s of India. Interviews of well-known personalities like politicians, actors; businessmen will also be conducted regularly to get their insights. We will be monitoring the development in cities and comparing it to smaller towns & villages so the audience can judge the difficulties they can face while travelling.
Inroads of India will act as a virtual guide for tourists who want to explore India in depth. The program will also benefit the South Asian Community by making them feel connected and close to India.
Screening was one done on 4th of December 2010 between 5pm to 9pm at the ROGERS THEATER IN THE LIVING ARTS CENTER MISSISSAUGA, ON.
