VEER Movie Preview


Salman Khan fans are in for a treat as their favorite hero is coming back in action with Veer. Scheduled to release on January 22, 2010, Veer is an epic story of love, revenge, courage and valor. Set in the British era of the 1820s, it stars Salman Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Zarine Khan and Sohail Khan. The trailer of Veer was released on November 27, 2009 and its first song ‘Salaam Aaya’, was released on December 13, while the entire score released on December 17 has already started creating a stir among the audience.
Directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Eros, Veer tells the story of a fight against injustice. The film’s soundtrack is composed by the famous duo, Sajid-Wajd while the lyrics are written by Oscar winning lyricist Gulzar. You can view the music promo of the song Salaam Aaya here.
The plot of the film revolves around Veer (Salman), a warrior of Pindaris who are enraged by the cunning game of divide-and-rule played by the British against the kingdoms of Pindaris and Madavgarh. Veer is caught in a battle between the British and his own people, along with sorting out his own differences with the King of Madavgarh (Mithun). Things turn uglier when he falls for princess Yashodhara (Zarine Khan), daughter of his sworn enemy, throwing his life into a toss.
The story moves on to show how Veer juggles his troubles and faces the demons outside and within himself. Blood flows as a brutal battle ensues between the clashing kingdoms. No stone is left unturned as swords clash and canons bellow. Will Veer be able to avenge is father’s dishonor? Will his love Yashodhara betray him to save her own people?
