Akshay Kumar Has Ambitions Of Establishing An International Karate Championship

November 8, 2010:  After pioneering the biggest ever martial arts movement in the history of Indian Karate , Shihan Akshay Kumar now has bigger ambitions of taking the Championship to an International level .

After the success of 2 consecutive years of the Invitational National Karate Championship Akshay Kumar has now set his sights on an International Karate Championship that will see students of martial arts from around the world participating.

Says a source “Akshay Kumar is very passionate about the sport and was so impressed with the way the Championship in India has shaped up that he now wants to take it to a global level – the planning for its established is currently being discussed and by the looks of it – we have a winner on our hands”

Yet coming to the point, it was on this show that Akki or Akshay Kumar confirmed the rumor that it was only after he changed his name from Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia to Akshay Kumar, that his luck seemed to have changed for the better. According to his own admission, he got his first break in movies immediately after changing his name.
