Paramount Kicks off Holiday Campaign with Giving Tuesday initiative

For every purchase of $50, 1 lb of food will be donated to communities in need 

TORONTO, ON — Paramount Fine Foods is spreading holiday cheer this season by giving the gift of generosity. The restaurant chain will kick off the holiday season with its first charitable initiative on November 30—Giving Tuesday. 

For every $50 spent at Paramount Fine Foods on Giving Tuesday and throughout the month of December, 1 lb of food will be donated to community members in need. The initiative is one of several holiday programs from Paramount Fine Foods created to celebrate the giving spirit in us all. 

In partnership with Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited, and Monin, all funds raised throughout the month of December will support several charities across the province including, Sick Kids Hospital, Regent Park's Annual Skate Event, and Paramount CEO Mohamad Fakih's seasonal Turkey Drive. 

"The holiday season is the perfect time to open our hearts and help those who need it most," says Mohamad Fakih. "Giving Tuesday is one way that we hope to give back to our community and ensure Canadians will enjoy a meal during the holidays." 

Guests are encouraged to spread the gift of generosity this season and make an additional donation on top of the 1lb of food being donated, through Paramount Fine Foods' online ordering platform. Guests will have the option to donate $1, $2, or $5 to various charities throughout December.

"We understand that the holiday season can be difficult for some families, and we want to offer our support," explains Fakih. "Over the years, our community has proven to be extremely generous, and we are so excited to launch a campaign that encourages generosity and reaching out a helping hand."
