Manousha Inc. gets ready to fire up the oven this November

New restaurant specializes in Middle Eastern flatbreads

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – In only a couple of weeks, residents of the GTA will have a new Middle Eastern restaurant to add to the their list of favourite places to eat.

Opening November 2019, Manousha Inc. will specialize in Mana'eesh, a speciality in Middle Eastern cuisine that is similar to flatbreads or pizza. Manousha Inc.'s menu will have 25 different kinds of Mana'eesh for diners to choose from.

"Our goal for Manousha Inc. is to introduce new Middle Eastern cuisine to diners in Mississauga and the GTA in a fun and accessible way," says Shakir Al-Qanbar, Founder at Manousha Inc. "We're including traditional Middle Eastern flavours for those who already know and love the cuisine and also adding familiar flavours for those who have never tried Mana'eesh before."

Manousha is an Arabic word meaning "flatbread", Mana'eesh is the plural, and it is a well-known dish to fans of Middle Eastern fare. The popular dish is a dough typically topped with thyme and cheese or ground meat. Manousha Inc. is putting their own twist on the dish and will have a variety of toppings for diners to try.

Diners will be able to choose from four categories of Mana'eesh – meats, sweets, dairy and vegan – which means there will be a type of flatbread to suit all tastes and dietary needs. The flatbreads are cooked in a dome pizza oven and each menu item is halal.

By focusing on one type of food, and by offering so many interesting varieties, Manousha Inc. is creating a space for friends and families to come together for any meal of the day and share their stories over delicious food.

Manousha Inc. will predominately serve as a take-out location and will be partnering with multiple delivery services, but there will be 12 seats available for those who want to dine in and experience the atmosphere of the restaurant.

The restaurant is a new concept from the team behind East Tea Can and will be the first Mana'eesh specialized restaurant in the GTA.
