Artists, community members and volunteers gathered to celebrate the arts in Mississauga, and they couldn't be happier with the event. This year's event took place on May 8 at the Living Arts Centre and featured award presentations and performances from artists of all varieties. This year's MARTYS featured Ernie Singleton, legendary record executive, giving a keynote speech on breaking into the music industry to our artists. Johnny Max was an excellent host, engaging and "real" and represented well the great local talent that we have." - Bohdan Shulakewych, President of the Mississauga Arts Council "The hosts of the night Stephanie McKenzie and John McAneney from the  Johnny Max Band were a good team. I thought for the most part Stephanie stole the show. The show started with a group of young dancers who did an amazing job of showing us some moves on the Song “ Happy”" - Leelas Irfan, Marketing Coordinator, Solsnet Digital I Rock with The One, a young hip hop dance troupe, entertained nominees, and guests.
