Emilia is a very passionate Polish 16-year-old girl from Mississauga, ON who is the current Miss
Teenage Peel and will be competing in the Miss Teenage Canada 2014 pageant in July.
Having a never-ending list of dreams and goals, nothing will stop her from achieving them. Her whole life, Emilia has been suffering from Crohn's Disease & Fibromyalgia causing her to face constant pain and symptoms, limiting her in every part of her life. Her main goal is to raise awareness about teens living with "invisible illnesses" such as chronic autoimmune diseases. She hopes to show the world that no matter what obstacles you face, anything is possible as long as you are passionate, determined, and hard-working.
Only being trained in ballroom, at the age of 14 she began teaching herself ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Dance has become her absolute life. Her passion for it has led her to develop a unique fusion of dance styles. Emilia recently joined the Mississauga Arts Council as a volunteer and performer as well as a committee member of their Limelight Association of Young Artists. Emilia also loves playing piano, drawing, writing and performing her poetry, and keeping an active lifestyle.
She aspires to spread the magical power of dance and of other forms of art into the lives of all youth, believing it can empower them, teach them confidence, and help them express their emotions. Hopefully it can save them just as it continues to save her.
