What is the role of art removed from a gallery setting? How does its location impact upon the way it engages with the public, and how does art in public space radicalize the conversation around art in general? Has the perception of art in public space changed over time, and how have artists responded to this shift? As well, from the perspective of non-arts professionals, how does public art enhance the overall experience of a place, and why should governments and private entities invest in it?
