Paddleboat teams from across Mississauga and beyond will converge on Port Credit on August 24th to take part in the fifth annual Paddle for the People fundraiser!
This annual event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a round-robin paddleboat tournament, live entertainment, prizes, greetings from dignitaries and much more!
Teams of two will compete in paddle boat races at the Port Credit Legion to raise money for several local charities in the community, including Peel Youth Village, Armagh House and Literacy for Kids. Races will be held every hour in a round-robin tournament, and the winning team will be presented with a special commemorative trophy!
Entry fees are $299 per team of 2 (charitable tax receipts can also be issued). Each team that registers will also receive tickets to a barbecue, as well as a post-event dinner and reception. Interested participants can download a sponsorship form at the LCCT website (www.lakeshorecorridor.com). All teams are encouraged to register as soon as possible to guarantee their spot in the tournament!
