Pandit Jasraj Institute of Music in Toronto presents Bandish Ke Rang

Shri Pritam Bhattacharjee, Senior Disciple of Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj

Toronto, May 13, 2013:   The renowned Pandit Jasraj Institute of Toronto (PJIM) presents Pritam Bhattacharjee, an accomplished disciple of Mewati maestro and Living Legend Pandit Jasrajji. Blessed with a mellifluous voice and exceptional versatility, he has performed widely in India and abroad in prestigious venues and festivals. He has traveled and performed extensively with his Guru Pandit Jasrajji and has won several awards including the Sangeet Acharya Award from the Pandit Jasraj Institute of Music New York and New Jersey.  At very  young age, he has already become not only an accomplished musician but a well known Guru and composer. 

“Pritamji is a senior faculty at the Pandit Jasraj School of Music, Atlanta, USA,” says Dr. Amit Arya, founder and director of Pandit Jasraj Institute Toronto.  “He is a prominent member of the Mewati Gharana and an accomplished performer.  It is our privilege to present him to the Toronto audience.”

The programme will begin with recitals of disciples of Dr. Amit Arya, followed by Pritam Bhattacharjee’s performance accompanied by Shri Ravi Naimpally on the Tabla and Dr. Neelesh Nadkarni on the Harmonium.
