Years ago
as some of the dreams
wrapped in the scent of life
were left to be, for reality;
I locked them
in the drawer of uncertainty
lying in a corner of a dark room.
Today, as I reopen it
dreams and moments
are stuck together.
The year and the moment lives
as my fingers console
in the pitch-dark
a booming glow-worm .
About Dr. Anita Kapoor: Dr. Anita Kapoor has been active in the field of journalism for a very long time in India as well as United States. She actively contributes to various magazines and newspapers in India and USA. Currently, she is the chief editor of the Hindi monthly newspaper Yaadein.
She has penned many beautiful poems and her publications include poetry collection, Bikhare Moti, Kadambari, Achute Swar, Sanson ke hastakshar and a haiku collection, Darpan ke Sawaal. She is very active in various organizations in Bay Area serving the South Asian communities to promote Indian heritage and culture.
