"She is the power because she is the womb, where the life is created and from where the life is generated, she is the mother of the universe which is a spellbinding miraculous experience. She is the bearer of the eternal light of life and strength. She is the fearless one". -Meena Chopra
March 9, 2013, marked the CELEBRATING WOMANHOOD AND THE LAUNCH OF WORLD WOMEN GLOBAL COUNCIL in Canada. The program was held at the Art of Living Yoga and Wellness Centre at Unit 14, 1510 Drew Road, Mississauga. The key note speaker of the evening was Mr Brad Butt distinguished member of the Parliament. Along with him were inspirational speakers, ardent supporters, volunteers and a wise assembly of audience. It was a historical moment to launch world women global council on women’s international day in Canada.

To mark the inauguration WWGC we had three highlighting programs that evening :
Firstly, honoring Women heroes of the Community for the pioneering role they play in the community with their contribution.
The four women heroes honored were :
• Shelly Siddoo
• Lynn Manwar
• Asma Mahmood
• Meena Chopra

The second intention of the evening was to create a space for eminent speakers, thus spreading encouragement and support that can build an environment of creativity. The speakers were:Debra Eklove, President, Art Of Living Foundation, Canada
Dr. Fahima Khan, Cancer Clinical Research Coordinator, Princess Margaret Hospital, Gugni Gill, Fashion Stylist and Beauty Pageant winner, Urz Heer: Rogers TV host of Heer Now & Rawal TV. Each speaker conveyed a thought- provoking unique message of support, motivation and inspiration, leaving the audience touched and moved.

The essence of the evening was to give family, friends and the community members the opportunity to be part of an inspiring and worthwhile cause, which was undoubtedly fulfilled. It was a fun-filled evening with cultural dance, art exhibits, food and dancing—everything that celebrates womanhood.
This event was to usher the path of work that WWGC is already doing in other parts of the globe. Canada joins the vision of WWGC.

Dr Dilshad Deyani, Founder / President of WWGC, although was not physically present, sent an inspirational message that was read out. In her message that evening Dr Deyani said:
“World women global council is all about cooperation, compassion, collaboration, and creation of your dreams and aspirations to further the cause of economic, social, and family empowerment. Our goal is to support our communities, political representation to strengthen societies and build strong nations where multicultural notion and gender equity is respected.
You are the power of change today as you inaugurate the spirit of World Women Global Council.
YOUR SUPPORT IS OUR BACKBONE AND YOUR PRESENCE IS A LIVING PROOF ..
YOU HAVE BELIEVED IN OUR GOALS
BECAUSE THEY SPEAK OF YOUR GOALS AS COMPASSIONATE HUMN BEINGS
and remember we cannot have a free generation raised by slave mothers.
World women Global Council is the platform where you can create a circle of womanhood by being not only who you are but by being the reflection of the dream you hold within. The power to empower must come from within you and I am here to nurture that seed with the help of our global and local project director like Sanjukta Das in your area.World women Global Council is all about advocacy and action of what you stand for, what is your mission and what do you believe in ….To me you all are advocates in your area ..you need action to implement your cause and WWGC will help you stand strong as united communities to help disadvantaged women and families in general. You are the dream catcher and when we talk about women empowerment we talk about how do we implement through media initiatives. WWGC has the radio show in USA that empowers and enlightens not only women but families in general because women bring ripple effects and create economic and social strength that builds stronger societies and nations.”
