StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Thursday, December 8th, 2011 (BRAMPTON, ON) –At an exclusive launch at Rogers Park in Brampton, the new Rogers TV studio was revealed.  Located at 8200 Dixie Road, this high-tech facility is the first fully HD studio for Rogers TV in the GTA.

“I am proud to have this state-of-the-art facility in our community,” said Mayor Fennell at the event. “This new studio will play an integral role in helping to get local stories and information to our residents.”

“Rogers TV is all about community television programming produced for the community, by the community,” explains Jake Dheer, Station Manager.  “Being able to provide a brand new studio for Brampton community producers and volunteers underlines our ongoing commitment to this great city.”

The new Rogers TV studio is located at the Rogers Park facility, which is the largest employer in the City of Brampton.  The new facilities and Rogers TV’s renewed focus on access programming will result in an increase in local programming for Rogers’ customers in Brampton.

There is an important historic connection between Rogers and Brampton, as Ted Rogers purchased Bramalea Telecable in 1967, which was his entry into the cable TV business.
