Invites Application for Cultural Program for Republic Day Celebration - PANORAMA INDIA

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-India's 63rd Republic Day celebration will be held on Sunday January 29th, 2012 from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Pearson Convention Centre, 2638 Steels Avenue East, Brampton, Ontario, L6T 4L7.

 
A great variety of entertainment programs are planned to be presented to another anticipated record audience!
 
We are inviting applications from the Cultural Schools and Community Organizations for a variety of cultural Programs & a "Folk dance competition" with a cash prize is also being held.
 
Cultural Program
 
Team of four or more participants to present a well choreographed colorful and exclusive stage-item for up to 7 minutes. Your item must be based on any Indian regional language, Bollywood, or a cultural theme. An appropriate skit depicting our culture and values may also be considered.  
 
You may please forward details of the program/item in the attached Form by email torepublicday@panoramaindia.org. 
 
Tradtional Folk Dance Competition
 
A folk dance competition is also scheduled for the day. Limited applications will be accepted. Only one folk dance per Indian state will be considered for the competition. The dance should depict the culture, language and true style of the Folk art from the state that is being represented.  The Folk dance or the song associated with the dance should not be picked from Bollywood movies. There will be recognition for the winners of the Folk dance competition. 
 
Please use the attached application form superscribing on top of the form "Folk Dance Competition" and send it to republicday@panoramaindia.org
