Breakaway Movie Synopsis
Breakaway is a drama movie based upon hockey game. It is a cross cultural hockey drama set in Indo-Canadian community in suburban Toronto, Cannada.
Rajveer Singh is a 21 year old young guy with a dream of a professional hockey player. Movie starts with a dream where he gets a goal, surrounded by beautiful girls. He is a talented guy but has to face many hurdlers.
Becouse of ethnic minority he has to struggle a succeed in traditional white man sport. He is conflicted because his father wants him to quit his pursuation a hockey career and concentrate in his family business.
As a sikh he was forbiddent to cut his hair and had to wear a turban, but wearing a turban was prohibited in participating in hockey. In his teen years he refused to follow his religious tradition and removed his turban and cut his hair. This rised tension between Rajveer and his father.
Rajveer was obsessed with hockey since childhood and showed a natural talent for the game. As time run he created a Sikh hockey team. Breakway is about a young mans journey to find himself in a new adoptive land. This movie is full of fun, action, sports and comedy.
