Vandana Pathak and Sameer Kakkar in Papad Pol

Vandana Pathak will be seen playing the role of Vinaychand, aka Swapnil Joshi’s Bua, whereas Sameer Khakkar will portray his Fufa.
StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -  Apr 22, 2011 – Acting veterans Vandana Pathak and Sameer Khakkar are all set to add laughter to your daily life. They will be playing cameo roles in SAB TV’s very popular show Papad Pol.

Vandana Pathak will be seen playing the role of  Vinaychand, aka Swapnil Joshi’s Bua, whereas Sameer Khakkar will portray his Fufa. They both come to stay with Vinay and Kokila and like any other guest are very demanding.

Vandana Pathak will be seen as a very dominating aunt who always finds problems in each and everything that Kokila does. For example, she has an issue with Kokila not having a veil over her face and does not find her cooking that impressive. She is not a negative woman but loves to interfere in the lives of others.

On the other hand, Sameer Khakkar is least bothered about others and the happenings in their lives. He likes to stay completely aloof and will always be found to be in his own world.

Says Vandana Pathak, “It’s a very interesting role. I have never played the role of a dominating woman. When I was approached, it seemed very easy, but when it came to shooting, I found it very challenging. Right from voice modulation to the dialogues delivery everything seemed very difficult. I have tried giving my best, just hoping that my audience accept me for the role and appreciate my efforts.”

Sameer Khakkar says, “It is a pleasure working with Swapnil and Ami. I am very excited to come back on the small screen after a brief break. Papad Pol is one of my favorite shows. I really enjoy the humor and the characters seem so real. One can associate with them really well.”

Keep watching Papad Pol on SAB TV every Monday- Friday at 8.00 PM
