“The marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton is a joyous occasion that will be celebrated by Canadians and in countries across the Commonwealth and around the world.

“Canada’s relationship with the Crown is a source of pride for Canadians, who have grown to admire and respect Prince William and Miss Middleton. For many, the Royal Wedding is an opportunity to celebrate the rich tradition of our history with The Royal Family – a celebration that will continue when they visit Canada this summer.
“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, I would like to extend my congratulations and warm wishes to the couple on their wedding day.”
