StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Feb 04, 2011 – Karan V Grover is one lucky man as he gets to portray two different characters in one show. The difference is evident. Karan Prasad was a loveable, caring and a positive character, where as Siddharth who actually is Ranchod Tiwari, is rustic, sports a stubble and over grown hair and has a particular accent. We asked Karan on how he prepared he says, “Rajshri's had given me such a clear brief about my character that it really helped me to prepare my role so my basic funda was to create a feel. Karan was innocent, love able, you could pull his cheeks in affection. Whereas Ranchod is a crass, has no manners, is extremely money minded, is not interested in love. His mannerisms and body language is loud and his tone with which he speaks makes him sound uneducated.

Unlike Karan, Ranchod has bad habit of smoking and drinking. To get into the character I smoke 2 cigarettes a day so I can get the mannerism correct.” Both Aabha and Karan hate cigarettes but its the demanding role that the actor wants to portray right. He has really taken some efforts to get into the skin of character Ranchod, he says “Even in between the shots when I talk to Aabha, I speak in Ranchod’s tone all the time to this Aabha gets annoyed and complains to him to stop behaving the rude Ranchod, I do this simply because I don’t want it to be a sophisticated guy playing a pastoral character”. Being a wanne be actor Ranchod thinks chewing the gum gives him an attitude and that it gives him a good jawline!! It seems Rajshri's powerful characterization of Ranchod is taking over Karan!
