Review Of 'Impatient Vivek': Gather Your Patience Before Watching!
StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-January 7, 2011: Film: Impatient Vivek
Director: Rahat Kazmi
Cast: Vivek Sudarshan, Sayali Bhagat, Rounaog Ahuja
Rating: *
If you want to test your patience then Impatient Vivek will be the best testing device this weekend! An immature script with a nonsense story makes it a worst effort by a filmmaker this year. It will start making you feel impatient even in first 10 minutes.
The hero of the film plays the character named IV, who is a puppeteer and uses them to express his feelings. He falls in love with a girl during a holiday in Goa but fails to attract the girl Shruti (Sayali Bhagat).
Two years passes and one day they suddenly meet in their home town Udaipur. But here comes all the confusing and unnecessary characters like Shruti’s stepbrothers, who fight in jealousy, friends of IV and a love triangle among her stepbrother Annu (Rounaog Ahuja), her best friend and his fiancĂ©.
All create confusion that you will curse yourself for wasting your money and time here. Then, all of a sudden, IV will kidnap Shruti on her wedding day without knowing her feeling for him. His parents are in a dilemma what to do with their impatient son as he has brought this girl home.
The filmmaker tries to create some funny situation, which does not look funny at all. Vivek Sudarshan is terrible, Shruti and Ahuja tried to impress but they don’t have enough scope with this confused and silly storyline.
Now, it’s up to you to decide if you want to use this movie as a ‘patient testing’ device!
