StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto- Mumbai, 27th October 2010: PVR Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions‟ period thriller, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, saw its worldwide soundtrack release on 27th October, 2010, at The Renaissance, Powai, along with director Ashutosh Gowariker, producers Sunita Gowariker, Ajay Bijli & Sanjeev K. Bijli, music director Sohail Sen, lyricist Javed Akhtar, lead stars Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, and the entire cast and crew of the film.
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey has been an incredible journey for Ashutosh Gowariker; "The experience has been fascinating, exciting and unique. One of the pleasures of working on a film is repeating your core team. And if that team happens to be Javedsaab and Sohail Sen then the process of creating music is all the more enriching.
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey needed a distinct sound, keeping in mind the period of 1930s and it being a thriller; it needed to be patriotic and epic in its composition but at the same time it needed to have a contemporary appeal."
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey has been a very challenging, yet at the same time exhilarating experience for me as a music director, since it essentially meant musically capturing and depicting the thrilling events of a saga of Indian courage, set during the bygone era of the British rule in India. I would like to give my heartfelt gratitude to Ashutosh sir."
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey has outstanding music compositions. To have the collaborative effort of Ashutosh Gowariker, Javed Akhtar and Sohail Sen to make such amazing music is a very proud moment for all of us here at PVR Pictures."
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey features 5 songs and the dramatic background score of 7 tracks. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey will hit theatres on December 3, 2010.
