By Team Futuristic Media Network: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry (IB Ministry) has banned two TV shows – Rakhi Ka Insaaf on Imagine and Bigg Boss, Season 4 on Colors. The Ministry issued the directive after several complaints from viewers alleged that the shows were vulgar and unsuitable for family viewing during peak time. The IB Ministry in a directive has ordered that the above shows can be telecast only between 11 pm and 5 am and any re-runs or re-telecast of these shows can be shown only during this time slot.
Meanwhile former Bigg Boss contestant Rahul Bhatt has welcomed the ban on the Bigg Boss show. Rahul Bhatt went to town claiming that Bigg Boss was rigged and the entire show was scripted based on the TRP acquisition ability of each contestant.
Both Bigg Boss and Rakhi ka Insaaf will have to carry a scroll saying that they are unsuitable for children and parents’ discretion is required. News channels have been banned from carrying excerpts or footage of the two shows, as per the government directive. Both channels said that they will contest the Government’s directive in an appropriate court of law
