PUBLIC VOTING FOR ONE BOOK ONE BRAMPTON OPENS

Brampton Library Announces Its One Book One Brampton Shortlist

For Immediate Release:  Brampton, November 18, 2016:

One of four books will be named the next One Book One Brampton as public voting opens today in Brampton Library's six branches and online at bramptonlibrary.ca.

"We are excited to launch One Book One Brampton again this year. We invite everyone across the City to get involved right from the start by voting for the winner from this list of four books, selected and recommended by Brampton Library staff," stated Brampton Library CEO Rebecca Raven as she announced the four books in contention:

The One Book One Brampton Shortlist:

 ·         The Juggler's Children: A Journey into Family, Legend and the Genes that Bind Us by Carolyn Abraham

·         Fifteen Dogs by Andre Alexis

·         Six Metres of Pavement by Farzana Doktor

·         The Amazing Absorbing Boy by Rabindranath Maharaj

The Winner and Campaign:

Everyone is invited to vote from November 18 until December 31, 2016 online at bramptonlibrary.ca or in person at any of our six Brampton Library branch locations. The winner and program details will be announced in 2017.

One Book One Brampton is a public celebration of reading that promotes literacy and community as the whole city reads the same book and discusses it.
