ABOUT THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY
Colonial India, 1913.  Srinavasa Ramanujan (Dev Patel) is a 25-year-old shipping clerk and self-taught genius, who failed out of college due to his near-obsessive, solitary study of mathematics.  Determined to pursue his passion despite rejection and derision from his peers, Ramanujan writes a letter to G. H. Hardy (Jeremy Irons), an eminent British mathematics professor at Trinity College, Cambridge.  Hardy recognizes the originality and brilliance of Ramanujan's raw talent and despite the skepticism of his colleagues, undertakes bringing him to Cambridge so that his theories can be explored. The Man Who Knew Infinity is the improbable true story of a unique genius whose pivotal theories propelled him from obscurity into a world in the midst of war, and how he fought tirelessly to show the world the magic of his mind.

The Man Who Knew Infinity
is an Edward R. Pressman (Academy Award® winning Reversal of Fortune and Wall Street, American Psycho, Thank You For Smoking), Jim Young (The Words, Lovelace), Joe Thomas (The Aussie Who Baffled the World), Matthew Brown, Sofia Sondervan (Cadillac Records) and Jon Katz (The Moth Diaries).

ABOUT COBY BROWN
Coby Brown is a composer, songwriter, and recording artist based in Los Angeles. When he is not scoring films and television series, Coby is writing songs, playing gigs, and hanging with his family.

Coby recently completed scoring a couple of episodes of the PBS SoCal docu-series Angeleno as well as the feature film Guns for Hire starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Ben Mendelsohn (released Dec. 2015).   Songs from his record French Exit (2013) are featured on Showtime's Shameless and can be heard on the Counting Crows' 2012 covers album, Underwater Sunshine.

About his work on The Man Who Knew Infinity, the composer said: "Scoring The Man Who Knew Infinity started out a daunting a task for me as the director is my brother, Matthew Brown, and I really wanted to come through for him!  To that end, I immersed myself in Ramanujan's story and his world - searching for the right sound, the right tone, the right instruments to realize the score.  Thankfully, I found what I was looking for through collaboration with Sai Shravanam, Justin Stanley, the Czech Film Orchestra, and a virtuosic group of Indian players half a world away.  Together I think we created something truly special in service of a beautiful film.
