Shweta Subram with The Piano Guys

An Honour to represent Indian music at Carnegie Hall - Shweta Subram

We all know the punch line to the old joke right? How does one get to Carnegie Hall?  But seriously, getting invited to play at Carnegie Hall is no joke! I recently earned the badge of honor when I performed to a sold out audience at this prestigious venue with The Piano Guys. This made me theyoungest vocalist of Indian origin to perform at the Carnegie Hall. What makes it more remarkable is that my performance was at the Isaac Stern Auditorium, which is the largest and most esteemed auditorium, which seats 2800 people. The audience responded ecstatically to the show with requests for a follow-up concert. The concert was recorded live for a 2015 album of The Piano Guys.

My rendition with The Piano Guys of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ has received a lot of love, having crossed 10 million views on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gCulUDvALM). Along with the performance at Carnegie Hall, I toured with The Piano Guys for sold out shows in Toronto, Montreal, Reading, and Syracuse.
This year, I made my foray into Bollywood as a playback singer with Ayushmann Khuraana for the movie Hawaizaada, lending vocals to the song Dil-E-Nadan(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ms9oXS8W5w). In addition, my acapella tribute showcasing the evolution of Bollywood music has received a phenomenal response and coverage by various portals, including the BBC Asian network (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn6HxcpdGF0). I have also composed and sang for the background score of Salman Khan’s first international production, Dr. Cabbie. My latest work is a cover of Jeena Jeenafrom Badlapur, with the talented composer Aakash Gandhi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MxttD67Z0I). My notable performance from the past includes a feature at the IIFA Awards along with Bollywood maestros Salim-Sulaiman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqCD9GIEVuQ).
Thank you for all your support, and please continue to follow my story on social media through the links below.
Shweta :)
