Robert Freeman passed away peacefully on Dec 22, 2012.
In honour of Robert's legacy, the Art Gallery of Mississauga Staff and Board will host an informal public remembrance on Saturday, January 12 from 2:00 to 4:30.
All are Invited to attend and encouraged to bring photos, mementoes and stories to share with others in celebration of Robert to begin at 3:00.
Robert joined the AGM as Curator in 2001. He was named Executive Director and Curator in 2007. During his time with the Gallery, his vision, patience and leadership provided inspiration to artists, and all those who have participated with the AGM. Robert will be remembered as a vital contributor to art and culture in the City of Mississauga.
Robert is survived by his wife Darlene, he was beloved father, step-father and father in-law to: Blake and Kate, Brandon and Jessica, Jesse and Rose, Mallory and Jeremy. Cherished son to June Freeman and the late Malcom Freeman and beloved brother and brother-in-law to Carolyn Freeman Luff and Leslie and Allan Carson.
In lieu of cards and flowers, the family has requested that donations in Robert's memory be made to the Art Gallery of Mississauga, 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga ON L5B 3C1.
