Kay Joins a Group of Canadian and U.S. Fashion Executives in Talks with JCT Limited for
New Business Development and Expansion in North American Operations

(Toronto – New Delhi – Monday, January 21, 2013)  Canada’s fashion industry veteran Robin Kay is in New Delhi, India invited as special guest of JCT Limited and Canadian sales partner Eslight International Inc. to chair product and operations development discussions outlining an exclusive partnership for North American sales initiatives.  Kay arrived in India on December 30th for the month long tour of India courtesy of JCT Limited which will also involve tours of their multiple facilities in the Punjab amongst other several scheduled destinations while in India.
Ashlee Dubrueil, CEO of Eslight International Inc. said, “We are elated to have Robin Kay here with us during these meetings and planning sessions which will offer us a wealth of additional industry information and advice for some of our particular new business developments with JCT Limited which are currently on the table.”

Kay has been brought in to the organization as a consultant to provide guidance on new business and product development plans that will aid to enhance JCT’s services and product offerings for the North American apparel industry, designers, retailers and brands.  JCT had recently agreed to have Eslight International Inc. as a sales agent for North America since February 2012 and currently in talks to formalize it to reflect more of a full territorial (North America) partnership.

Robin Kay, is president of the Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC), has 25 years experience in the world of fashion. With no formal training in fashion design but a natural business sense, Robin began in 1976 with a high-end fashion retail chain called Robin Kay Clothing Company. Over a period of 25 years, Robin opened a total of 18 retail stores while wholesaling her designs to over 600 accounts throughout the United States. In 1999 Robin decided that it was time to make that change, she divested her chain of stores and joined the Fashion Design Council of Canada. As an international ambassador for Canada’s fashion industry Robin lead the FDCC in the organization of L’OrĂ©al Fashion Week in Toronto which she has recently stepped down from after it was sold to IMG Canada.

Kay stated, “As I have now venture into my next phase of my career in this industry that I love, I am honoured to be asked sit at the table and consult on some notable projects in this industry that I know all too well could be volatile, unpredictable and yet very rewarding at the same time.”  “Remaining successful in the fashion and apparel  business you must constantlyassess, plan and explore the industry further including your competitors, and your customers while considering the macro-environment in which you’re operating in,” added Kay.
