LIBERAL EVENT

StarBuzz, Toronto-BRAMPTON, ON - October 7^th, 2012 –The Brampton Liberals are hosting a social event, Public House: Pints & Politics, to engage Brampton residents at the grassroots level.   Public House will be held on Sunday, October 21^st, 2012 at 7:00 p.m at the Castle Sports Bar & Grill (Bovaird Drive and Airport Road).  The Hon. Linda Jeffrey, Ontario Minister of Labour and Andrew Williams, Director of Operations for Good Movement are the guest speakers for this month’s event.

 Our country began with community members gathering in pubs (public houses) to discuss what was best for the community.  The Brampton Liberals are trying to recreate this experience and level of community engagement in Brampton. 

Public House: Pints & Politics is a monthly social event hosted by the Brampton Liberals.  This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbours, share a laugh, and have a good time with fellow Bramptonians and Liberals from the Greater Toronto Area.  All community members are welcome, regardless of whether you are a liberal.

The Hon. Linda Jeffrey, Ontario Minister of Labour, will be speaking to the latest developments in labour and employment regulations in our province. 

Andrew Williams, Director of Operations for Good Movement (http://good-movement.com/), will be sharing stories from his innovative initiative.  The organization’s slogan, “Youth Helping Youth.  What Could be better?”, illustrates the Good Movement’s mandate to provide aid to homeless and underprivileged youth across the Greater Toronto Area.

The Brampton Liberals is a grassroots initiative which strives to reunify the base of citizens that share liberal value within the city through engaging events and active participation in the community.  The Brampton Liberals is a group made up of strong Liberals from all four electoral districts : Brampton West, Brampton- Springdale, Mississauga-Brampton South, and Bramalea–Gore-Malton.
