MISSISSAUGA, ON – Join the Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) at its 3rd annual ARTBEATS Gala and Reception this Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Mississauga Convention Centre (located at 75 Derry Road West). Indulge your senses with a sangria fountain in the reception area and a succulent variety of cuisine, a live and silent auction, and incredible performances by pianist Paul Castro, rock n’ roll band Little Peter and the Elegants, and dance group What’s on? Tap! Tickets are $125/individual, $200/couple or $700/table of 8 and can be purchased by calling 905-615-4278. All proceeds from MAC’s ARTBEATS fundraiser will help raise funds to support Mississauga’s growing arts community.
MAC is excited to celebrate a rock n' roll theme with this year’s featured performers. ARTBEATS will kick off with a red carpet at 6 p.m. with Paul Castro on the piano. Known for his stage performance and charisma, Paul prides himself on making unique, cutting edge entertainment. Over the span of his career, he has created an evolving buffet of sound that mixes Alt-Rock, Classic Rock, Alt-Hip-Hop, Funk, House, Dancehall, Jazz, Drum and Bass, and various other influences. In the spirit of rock n’ roll, ARTBEATS is also delighted to feature Little Peter and the Elegants. The band’s passion for 50's and 60's music, especially the vocal harmonies will inspire the audience to dance. Lastly, the choreography of What’s on? Tap's, Fool in the Rain by Led Zeppelin will mesmerize the audience with their tapping extravaganza!
Arts collectors will have an excellent opportunity to attain priceless pieces at the event. ARTBEATS will spotlight a diverse collection of original artworks and unique items at its live and silent auctions.
