The Mississauga Arts Council's Summer '12 Magazine is here!

StarBuzz, Toronto-

Whether it's a concert outdoors, an energetic dance choreography, a fresh new art exhibit or a media presentation, it doesn't take much to feel the exuberance of the summertime! The summer months of July and August are packed with exciting events.
 
July 12th will mark the inaugural, Meet the Media Makers of Mississauga Event at the Rogers Theatre of the Living Arts Centre, which will bring over 10 multi-talented artists together under one roof. It will also bring Jamaica's 50th Anniversary Art Exhibit,circa1962/circa2012 to fruition, an exhibit which MAC's President, Bohdan Shulakewych was instrumental in bringing to the Art Gallery of Mississauga! Make sure to tune into CBC radio (99.1 FM) tomorrow morning at 7:25a.m. for his exclusive interview on the morning show with Matt Galloway!

MAC is also partnering with the Port Credit BIA to bring Mississauga the Sunset Summer Concert Series which debuted July 8 and will culminate on August 26, and a variety of empowering workshops for women in the first annual, Wonder WomenSeries in August.

MAC continues to celebrate its 30 year anniversary by working towards our huge explosion of arts and culture with festivities at Celebration Square, hosted by CityNews' Francis D'Souza on August 24th.

There has been an orchestra of changes around the MAC office! Starting this November 2012, the MAC magazine will be published three times a year, with the next issues following in March and July of 2013.

In this Summer '12 Edition of MAC's magazine, read about all of the success from the 2012 MARTY Awards, highlights from the Limelight Africa Project and the One Dime at a Time Program with Whole Foods. Get inspired with internationally renowned visual artist, Huibert Sabelis and learn about getting involved with the Limelight movement! Get a sense of what it really means to be part of an organization that is truly the art and soul of the city!
