Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Bollywood?

There have been rumors that the Indian Cricket Team captain Mahandra Singh Dhoni is going to act in the Bollywood films. We are not aware of how far is this rumor true, but here are a few information on the same. StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto - Nov 30, 2011 - Dhoni along with his wife were spotted at a film screening event arranged by John Abraham. And, rumors were around about the Indian cricket team captain making his appearance in Bollywood very soon.

The Indian Cricket team’s captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also revealed that he’s going to act in a Bollywood film on request of his close friend John Abraham who are both close friends for almost seven years. The actor – filmmaker John Abraham has been requesting Dhoni to act in a film for him but Dhoni had no interest in it. He had been refusing for so long and now he has accepted the chance given. Dhoni is expected to be seen in around 2 movies of John but John still keeps mum about this information. “Anything for John!” says Dhoni from which it is clear that we’ll be able to see Dhoni onscreen. Dhoni adds on to say that he would also act in John’s movies if he asks him to act. So, let’s wait for it!

Sources close to John have revealed that there are two movies expected with Dhoni in and both are John’s movies. One is a film that John has planned with a leading producer and the other film is directed by David Dhawan. The director is in talks with Dhoni for the shoot of the climax sequence of the movie. Dhoni is expected to appear in the climax scenes and it would be just a 15 days shoot. Moreover some sources say that Dhoni doesn’t wish to be just Dhoni in his films but a friend or close one of the heroes. Dhoni is also invited for the promotional event of the film “Kya Yahi Sach Hai” directed by Y P Singh. In spite of his busy schedule, he agrred to participate in the event when he got a call from Y P Singh’s wife Abha Singh who is the producer of the film too. The director says that Dhoni is a self made man and a youth icon. He adds on to say, ‘Who better than Dhoni to do the honors?”.

There have been many cricketers who have tried their luck in Bollywood so far. The cricketers like Sandeep Patil, Ajay Jadeja and Salil Ankola have all made their appearance in various films so far. Let’s wait for our India Cricket Team captain Dhoni too very soon on screen!
