Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets with Kuwaiti amir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the G-8-Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) Forum for the Future on November 22, 2011.

‪The forum was co-hosted by Kuwait and France and follows the G-8 Leaders’ Summit at Deauville, France, earlier this year. Membership in the G-8-BMENA includes G-8 and Middle Eastern and North African countries.

‪The two men focused on the tremendous unrest and change sweeping the MENA region. Minister Baird also thanked the Amir for Kuwait’s agreement to host the Canadian Forces’ base that is supporting Canada’s Afghanistan operations.‬‬
