StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-OTTAWA – Liberal Critic for Post Secondary Education, Youth and Amateur Sport, Justin Trudeau, issued the following statement today to congratulate Canadian athletes on the closing of the Pan-American Games:
“Our Pan-American Team has made an extraordinary effort at the games this year in Guadalajara, Mexico. Canada made an impressive showing, winning 118 medals, including Canada’s first ever soccer gold. This is not only a remarkable achievement for Canada’s athletes, but also for their coaches and families who have supported them every step of the way.
On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, I once again congratulate our athletes and look forward to the next Pan-Am Games which will be held in Toronto in 2015!”
