Statement by Liberal Leader Bob Rae on the terrorist attacks in Norway

SASKATOON— Liberal Leader Bob Rae made the following statement today on the bombings in Norway:

“I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the senseless terrorist attacks in Norway today. I wish to express my sincere condolences to the families of those who died and those who were injured.

It’s shocking to see these images of violence and death in a peaceful and democratic society. People should be able to live their lives securely and with the knowledge that they won’t be targeted by terrorists.

On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our entire parliamentary caucus, I wish to express solidarity with the people of Norway in the face of this senseless violence.”
