StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement to congratulate the 185 recipients of the 2011 Public Service Award of Excellence:
“On behalf of all Canadians, I would like to congratulate the recipients of this year’s Public Service Award of Excellence.
“Each and every one of these remarkable individuals has shown excellence, professionalism and leadership in serving the public.
“These individuals and their ideas are at the forefront of modernizing the Government, helping ensure the Public Service best meets the needs of Canadians and continues to play a vital role in our nation’s economic, social and cultural prosperity.
“Our world-class Public Service has been instrumental in ensuring Canada emerged from the global recession as one of the world’s top-performing advanced economies.
“I invite all public servants to work with our Government in the months ahead to continue to strengthen the Public Service and provide the principled, accountable leadership and good government that Canadians deserve.”
