Prime Minister re-appoints Deepak Obhrai Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-- Prime Minister Stephen Harper today reappointed Deepak Obhrai, M.P. for Calgary East, as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. th and 40th Parliaments of Canada. He has also served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Cooperation.
OTTAWA
Mr. Obhrai has served as Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs for the past five years, in the 39
st Parliament, Mr. Obhrai will be representing Canada this week at the inauguration of Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan, in Abuja, Nigeria.

"This is a vote of confidence by the Prime Minister and I am honored once again to have been chosen for this important portfolio. I look forward to representing Canada on the international stage, " Obhrai said.
Mr. Obhrai, who has served as Parliamentary Secretary to former foreign ministers Peter MacKay, Maxime Bernier, David Emerson and Lawrence Cannon, said he is looking forward to working with the Hon. John Baird.
