McGuinty Government Supports Work Experience In Natural Resources
StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-This year, thousands of youth from across the province will have the opportunity to pursue their passion for Ontario's natural resources through experience-based work and learning positions.Job applications are now open for young people across Ontario to take on exciting jobs and gain valuable experience that will help them launch successful careers in the future. More than 2,000 job opportunities in natural resource management are available through five unique programs:
- Ministry of Natural Resources Internships
- Ontario Ranger
- Ontario Stewardship Ranger
- Aboriginal Youth Work Exchange
- Post-secondary Co-op.
QUICK FACTS
- The Ontario Ranger program is now in its 67th year. It provides an eight-week summer program for youth born in 1994.
- Last summer, the government helped more than 127,000 Ontario students find jobs.
