Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Brad Garrett is best-known fot his role as Ray Barone's (Ray Romano) brother Robert, the NYPD policeman. Robert's existence is constantly overshadowed by his sportwriting sibling. The rivalry helped coin the show title, Everybody Loves Raymond. The king of Sicily unjustly accuses his wife of adultery and tries to murder both his best friend and his infant daughter. But 16 years later, a miracle happens ... "Shakespeare's most moving play ... appeals to mankind's hunger for resurrection myths," writes Michael Billington of the Guardian, adding that the play packs "enormous power." In addition, it includes songs and dances, clowns and shepherdesses, wild improbabilities, and one of the bard's most endearing rogues, as well as his most famous stage direction: "Exit, pursued by a bear." Happy days are here again with Richie, Ralph Malph, and the unforgettable "king of cool", Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli. Art Gallery of Mississauga(Art Gallery of Mississauga, 300 City Centre Dr.): Exhibit: Sorting Daemons - Art, Surveillance Regimes and Social Control. The exhibition features works in a range of media - including painting, photography, video, installation and responsive electronic art. Setting a context for current concerns, the threepart video program draws on artists' tapes produced over the past two decades. Sorting Daemons includes Canadian and international artists: Brenda Goldstein, Antonia Hirsch, Dave Kemp, Germaine Koh and Ian Verchere, Arnold Koroshegyi, Ruthann Lee, Michael Lewis, Jill Magid, Walid Ra'ad, Kathleen Ritter, David Rokeby, Tom Sherman, Cheryl Sourkes, Ryan Stec, and John Watt. Find out how this man helped shape recreation in Mississauga through a display near The Great Hall at Mississauga Civic Centre (300 City Centre Drive). Jerry continues to spread his passion for sports through the Jerry Love Fund that provides subsidies to help hundreds of Mississauga children participate in recreational activities each year. Museums of Mississauga(Bradley Museum, 1620 Orr Rd): From March 12th to the 20th, Bradley Museum offers Mississauga's own maple syrup festival! Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides and pancakes served daily in the Log Cabin, along with guided tours, kids' crafts, free samples and more. Oversize outdoor board games will provide lots of fun for the family. On the weekends soar up into the air in a Forestry Division bucket truck- all this in addition to learning about maple syrup production past and present. Since 1993 the Bradley Museum has been conducting maple-related school programs and public activities in and around the grounds of the historic 1830s farmhouse. Through the use of displays, demonstrations, hands-on activities and ample opportunities to taste and buy, you too can discover the magical process of transforming sunshine into golden maple syrup. Austin MacDonald: Please help Mississauga Arts Council member Austin MacDonald raise funds and awareness for "Blessings in a Backpack," the unique program designed to support schoolchildren who do not have enough to eat on weekends. $100 feeds a child in the program for an entire school year. Following a donation, a school is chosen and a local grocer partners with the program to provide food for meals in the backpacks. Austin MacDonald: Please help Mississauga Arts Council member Austin MacDonald raise funds and awareness for "Blessings in a Backpack," the unique program designed to support schoolchildren who do not have enough to eat on weekends. $100 feeds a child in the program for an entire school year. Internationally renowned artist Gauri Gill will select up to 20 photographs to be included in an exhibition entitled The Mississaugans that will be on view at the Mississauga Central Library alongside the exhibition, The Americans, from May 1-July 31, 2011. Your photographs will be selected based on some of the ideas conveyed by the exhibition, The Americans, with a focus on images that have a sense of humour, poignancy, irony or a beguiling nature that may also portray a unique view of Mississauga culture. Selected artists will receive on-site acknowledgements for their work in the exhibition and at the opening reception on Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm.
