Satish Kaushik learns Bengali for his upcoming movie with Sayali Bhagat

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-10th February 2011, Mumbai: Actor & Director Satish Kaushik is in the mood to stretch his boundaries and make the most of his career… so after doing award winning & critically acclaimed parallel cinema like “road, movie” and “bricklane”, he is now exploring new avenues to satisfy his talent. He is thus landed up a role for himself in Director Satan Dutta’s upcoming movie with sayali bhagat called “M COM CHOWMEIN”
Being an established name in the Hindi film industry, Mr. Kaushik has to his credits some unforgettable roles like “calendar” in Mr. India, and roles in Ram Lakhan & Sajan Chale Sasural, that won him the filmfare award for best comedian. As a director, he has to his credit, films like “tere naam” , “ Roop ki rani Choron ka raja” and “Hum Aap Ke Dil Mein Rehte Hai” among others. He now forays into the bangla movie industry “M. COM CHOWMEIN”.
The movie has Sayali Bhagat, Sarovar Ahuja & Satish Kaushik in the lead roles and is a romantic comedy shot mainly in Gangtok, Kolkata & Vishakhapatnam. A dedicated actor, as he is, Satishji chose to actually learn the language instead of having someone else to dub his part of dialogues. Speaking on the occasion, Satishji said, “M COM CHOWMEIN” was a very interesting project to work on, especially learning Bengali. I had an option of not having to learn it as it is easy to have someone dub your dialogues these days but then, that is not acting… In order to really understand the character & do justice to the role, I decided to learn the language. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience working with Sayali & Sarovar and also Satan has been great to work with. I hope the audience loves the movie as much as we enjoyed making it… The movie is slated for a June 2011 release and is currently in post production.”
