Rs 15-lakh diamond-studded gold panties for ‘No Panty Girl’ Yana Gupta?

Her no panty stunt got her fantastic media mileage, then she got boxes of designer panties, lingerie and bikinis as gifts for Christmas, enough to last her a lifetime. Now she has the icing on the cake too. An Indian-born designer originally from Delhi, but now doing business in the UAE and particularly in Dubai has designed a diamond-studded gold panty, especially for the no panty girl Yana Gupta. The designer who was not named has been associated with the Gold Suk Mall in Delhi near Gurgaon and various other well-known jewellery projects. He is a personal designer to the Sheikhs of the UAE, the Shahs of Iran, queens and princesses all over the world not to forget the Sultan of Brunei and his family. We asked the organisers the name of the designer, but they said it would be announced at a Press Conference after the models are confirmed.

A spokesperson for the project called The Helping Hands Project which is supported by some charitable organisations in India, said, “We have commissioned a diamond-studded designer bikini made of gold cloth worth about Rs 15-Lakh and we plan to auction it at a fashion event in Dubai or Bombay in end-February this year. Given the tag that Yaana Gupta has given herself as the no-panty girl, we would like her to wear this particular outfit. In fact, our designer is such a great fan of Yana Gupta that he made the outfit exactly for her size. The fashion event which is part of ‘The Helping Hands Project’ to build shelters for slum and street kids all over India adopt them and provide the kids with an education and livelihood aims to raise about Rs 25-lakh in sales which will be used to fund the expenses of The Helping Hands Project. Yaana Gupta if she accepts the offer to don the diamond-encrusted gold bikini and strut her stuff down the ramp will get a percentage of the proceeds of the outfits she wears,” said the organisers.
