The Wonder Stone may even have a sequel

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Dec 06, 2010 – THE WONDER Stone, a sci-fi movie directed by Varun Mehta will see its web release in December 2010.
But it seems excitement has gotten the better of the director of the movie. He is already thinking about making a sequel to it. After seeing the reaction to the first part he will proceed on to decide about the sequel.

For those who don’t know, ‘The Wonder Stone’ is a movie about an alien stone coming to planet Earth and being discovered by six school kids who get superhuman abilities for a day from it. The film stars Arya Varshney, Mansi Sharma, Rajat Sharma, Nishant Singh and Umang Pandey.

The movie basically deals with kids and their fears, wishes, bravery, anxiety and adventures. The film is loaded with great amount of visual effects and animation. The film was shot in a short period of 35 days. The film boasts of a documentary feel and also a lot of special effects which could attract kids to watch it.

To promote the film, two music videos were announced. One of them is ‘Evolution’ which was released online and second ‘The Real Wonder’ shall be shot in Janaury 2011. The buzz is that now the film will have a sequel in which the alien stone returns to haunt the kids after five years.
