Award-Winning Canadian Rock Artist Zameer Showcasing His New Releases in Toronto

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Award-Winning Canadian Rock Artist Zameer Showcasing His New Releases in Toronto. New World Music Album “Saath” To Be Followed By “Live In Los Angeles” CD/DVD

Toronto, ON – With live accolades ranging from opening for John Mayer to performing for the Queen of England and a stadium audience of over 30,000 in Norway, Canadian musician Zameer is raising the bar for indie artists with a flurry of releases aimed at expanding his already growing fanbase.

Last month saw a deluxe edition release of Zameer’s “From Under The Bleachers” debut album, which was produced by multiple Grammy winning producer Steve Thompson, whose past collaboration credits include John Lennon, Madonna and Whitney Houston. The album featured Zameer’s hit single “Win Or Defeat” dedicated to Canada’s Paralympic Athletes, that was licensed for the 2010 Paralympic Games and performed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.

And with last week seeing the release of Zameer’s debut Hindi/Urdu album “Saath”, timing is perfect for Zameer to showcase some of his work to Canadian audiences at his latest Ontario concert on Friday, December 3rd at 9 PM in the El Mocumbo club (464 Spadina Avenue, Toronto).

Next month also sees the release of Zameer’s “Live In Los Angeles” CD, followed by the DVD edition in early 2010. Zameer is the first musician of South Asian heritage in North America to release live concert recordings, a conscious effort on Zameer’s part to distinguish himself from South Asian artists who lip sync to playback tracks.

Zameer’s music videos are also often the subject of critical acclaim - “Win Or Defeat”, “With You” and “Teri Yaad” have been screened at numerous film festivals in North America including the FILMI South Asian Film Festival in Toronto, as well as the Tampa India International Film Festival in Florida.
