Tom Cruise Chooses Dubai to Unveil the Title of the Fourth Sequel of ‘Mission Impossible’

Dubai is a key location of 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol'Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 28 October 2010:
In Dubai today, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise unveiled the title of the fourth sequel of the blockbuster movie Mission Impossible at a press conference. The new movie "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" is being partly shot in Dubai.

Key cast and crew members of the Hollywood action blockbuster were in the city today including Director, Brad Bird; Executive Producer, Jeffrey Chernov; Actor, Jeremy Renner; Actress, Paula Patton; and Producer, Bryan Burk also attended the press conference held at the Armani Hotel, in the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Tom Cruise began his press conference address by thanking His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai for hosting the shooting of the movie in Dubai. He also thanked the people of Dubai for the "extraordinarily warm welcome" he and the crew of the film received in Dubai.

Commenting on the choice of the Dubai as a major location for the film, lead actor Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as Agent Ethan Hunt in this new installment of the blockbuster series said: "This is an absolutely extraordinary city. It's very cinematic. The geography of the location is important to every Mission Impossible movie that we have shot. I have always wanted to shoot here."

Cruise spoke highly of the support the crew have received and continue to receive in Dubai. He praised the city’s infrastructure that lends itself naturally to filmmaking. "It's important to have the community's support wherever we are shooting and I can tell you how much people here have been supportive to make things go as smoothly as possible."

Brad Bird, the director of the movie was also full of praise for the setting that Dubai has to offer: "We were looking for grandeur. We love the fact that Dubai is a big new city … in the sense that it is not over-filmed… it's our great fortune that we got here first." Dubai has everything, he said. "It is like the set you that you cannot afford to build … so we are shooting Dubai as Dubai."

The cast and crew who attended the press conference expressed their appreciation for the support shown by various Dubai Government authorities and departments to ensure all the necessary technical and logistical preparations for the shoot are in place. It is the longest time the 400 member crew will spend filming in any of the key city locations of the film.

"Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" is expected to hit the screens worldwide in December, 2011।
